Ross began his career as a business owner who grew a small family venture into one of the Twin Cities most respected landscape architecture firms, earning its place on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies.
As a founding partner of management consultancy and several networking groups, he shared his expertise and insights with more than 500 businesses helping them identify opportunities, define strategies, inspire teamwork and connect the dots to net profit. According to one client, “Ross has an keen ability to assess a business opportunity and lay out a plan for profitable growth.”
Ross joined the Vail Leadership Institute in 2013 as president and CEO. Exploring the growth potential of the institute and its leadership development programs, he uncovered a greater need for an intellectual center in Vail, one that aligned emerging educational trends with state and local economic goals. In just over two years, he created a network of government, non-profit and business groups, as well as respected university and educational partners ready to collaborate on Vail Centre.
Today Ross serves as CEO of Vail Centre where he drives the organization’s vision of creating unique learning experiences that build credentials, foster intellectual communities, and create impact around the globe.
Ross attended the University of Colorado-Boulder Leeds School with an emphasis in finance and entrepreneurial studies. He and his wife Jennie are raising three sons to ski, hike, fly fish, and live life with a sense of adventure.
