Angelo Fernandez is a seasoned Human Resources and Organizational Development professional with 17 years of experience in both Fortune 500 companies as well as public sector municipalities. He is certified in the use of Crucial Conversations, Speed of Trust, as well as an extensive range of professional and personal development programs including Lean and Six Sigma, Generations at Work, change management, and conflict resolution. Angelo earned his Professional in Human Resources certification in 2008.

Angelo has spent the majority of his career developing Human Resources and Organization Development programs and strategies including succession planning, communication platforms, performance management systems, safety and security programs, recruitment and retention programs, compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, leadership and executive development, and one-on-one coaching. Angelo has also successfully transitioned executive-level leadership, implemented organization-wide business process improvement programs, and has led organizational cultural transformations. Perhaps his most unique talent is in identifying and empowering individual talents and leading people to success.

Angelo earned a B.S. in Environmental Protection from Illinois State University.  Active in community service, Angelo also teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to youth and adults and is currently serving as President of the High County Human Resources Association (the local chapter of the nationally recognized Society of Human Resources Management). He also contributes to local leadership organizations with an emphasis on developing the local leadership pipeline. Angelo has lived in the Vail Valley for 13 years, is married, and is the proud papa of his ten-year-old son, Blu.
